Contingent liabilities are possible obligations that may arise in the future depending on the outcome of a certain event.

संभावित देनदारियाँ वे जिम्मेदारियाँ होती हैं जो भविष्य की किसी अनिश्चित घटना के होने या न होने पर निर्भर करती हैं।

Examples (उदाहरण):

1. Lawsuit (मुकदमा):

If a company is facing a lawsuit and may have to pay damages only if it loses the case, this is a contingent liability.

अगर कोई कंपनी किसी केस का सामना कर रही है और केवल हारने की स्थिति में जुर्माना देना पड़ेगा, तो वह एक संभावित देनदारी है।

2. Guarantee (गारंटी):

If a company gives a guarantee for a loan taken by another party, it becomes a contingent liability.

यदि कंपनी किसी और के लिए लोन की गारंटी देती है, और वह व्यक्ति लोन नहीं चुका पाता, तो कंपनी को चुकाना पड़ सकता है — यह एक संभावित देनदारी है।
